Salty-sweet dumplings with dates and nuts
Bring the water to the boil with a pinch of salt and butter. Melt the butter and add the instant potatoes. Stir vigorously to combine the mixture and put aside to cool when it thickens. Divide the walnuts into the size that fits the date and close the dates. Combine the cooled puree with the ground crackers and flour. We tear open pieces of the mixture, form a ball and then press it flat in the palm of our hand. Place filled dates in the center, close them and form a ball or shape of your choice. Bring water to the boil, after it starts to boil, bring the dumplings to the boil. After they have emerged, cook them for another 1-2 minutes and take them out. We roll them in crushed crackers and sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
